Being dragged by an older gentleman whom she is not fully acquaintance yet besides hearing the name occasionally here and there to a middle of a forest like this could be a great plot of a horror-thriller book but as a book nerd as she is - She doesn't want to be the main protagonist of a horror-thriller novel. Pryde shoves a list that has several variants of mushroom is listed there. She once read about survival how-to books and mushroom dictionaries in the past, the mushroom on the list is not an alien for her. "Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. I thought you were dragging me to this forest for something more exciting." Nia smiles, shoving the paper to her pocket while she looks around to the base of the tree for a starter.

"Good," he comments glad that his random grab for assistance nabbed him someone of come competence. Though a brow raises at her, "Do you find no joy in looking through leaf piles for possible poison mushrooms?" he questions almost as if he were dumbfounded by the idea of not being interested in such a field trip. Pryde would take out a pair of gloves and bag for her to be properly prepaired.

"In a story, doing a simple mushroom hunt is not enough to hook the reader's attention as to how limited action activities occupy the reader's mind when you are doing a mushroom hunt" Nia dictates while putting on the gloves. "Oh well, I hope that I can find something much more than a simple poisonous mushroom. A hidden corpse, perhaps? Who knows what the forest may offer" Nia shrugs as she wanders around looking at the various mushroom that she has spotted from afar since earlier. A theory knowledge and practical knowledge are two different things, the mushroom that she founds earlier - none of them what she was looking for. Not only the mushroom that she find is not what she is looking for, but all that she can find is also just a corpse of a small animal.

"How is it on your end?" Nia asks Mr. Pryde.

"Oh I see, though I think you might be looking at this adventure in the wrong way. Not all things lead up to a big setting, sometimes there are subplots, fillers stories that help you get to learn the character a bit more, some slice of life," he continued trying to speaker her language sort of type. As every now and then he would enjoy a good book here and there on his free time, or how very few he had. [break][break]

Though at least she listens as she separates from him finding it a tad odd that she would want to find a corps in such a place but its no bother. Though as should would come back to him she would find him kneeling over a wild Pachirisu that seemed to be twitching, and struggling to move a muchroom of some type in it's cheek pouch.

The man is kneeling in front of a Pachirisu observing the behavior of the rodent. "I'd say unnecessary fillers kill the essence of a story. Well, I couldn't say that this filler is an unnecessary one or not since in the book of life one couldn't just skip a page to spoil the future plot." Nia continues what the man mentions before she goes separate way earlier. "Found something interesting on the Pachirisu?" Nia points out to the pokemon right in front of him. Anticipating that there is at least one mushroom on the list. If there is indeed one, the Pachirisu could give help to lead them to where they found the mushroom.

"I suppose that's just a matter of taste and what kind of stories your into, personally I don't mind a slow burn," is all he comments as he still studies the squirrel pokemon. With his metal arm he touches it and it seems like it's struggling with movement still even after being touched. [break][break]

"There are not many shrooms that can paralyze an electric pokemon," is what he comments before he uses the same arm to slam down with blunt force on them forcing the Pachirisu to spit out the mushroom, using a discharge as he does so. Pryde's mechanical arm taking the majority of the electrical attack. Hopefully the other wouldn't get too close.

Nia shrugs, silently agreeing with the notion that the man makes regarding the difference of taste. Nia starts to notice his arm which is a mechanical arm but she remains silent with no intention of pointing that out. The Pachirisu starts to unleash a wave of electricity when Pryde is forcing them to spit out the mushroom, Nia takes a step back to avoid being electrocuted then wonders if Pryde is okay since he is basically at point zero. Turns out her worries are unnecessary as the discharge is taken by his mechanical arm. Lo' behold - One of the mushrooms that they have been looking for comes out. Nia quickly looks around trying to find the Pachirisu's track and follow it carefully. She finds herself at a rather big field with various mushrooms scattered around. Nia inspects the mushrooms one by one and then she smirks while returning back to Pryde.

"I hit the jackpot, I found the place where the majority of the mushrooms that we are looking for gather in a single place," Nia tells Pryde as she points to the direction where she comes out.

Pryde just watches as the Pachirisu takes off as it coughs up the mushroom it was chocking on. Pryde making sure to take it for himself in his satchel to make some use of it later. Once more his knees are cracking as he slowly gets himself up to chance after the younger grunt who decides to go on her hunch. [break][break]

Finding large amounts of polypore of what he needed, and even a bit of what he didn't. "Good work, collect what you can but not everything, wouldn't be good to ruin the system here"

"Not even the slightest thanks? What a tough man to please" Nia points out while not lingering over that matter for too long as she starts to do a selective picking of the mushrooms without destroying the ecosystem of this place. Since she is now handling poisonous mushrooms, Nia also takes extra precautions when she is picking the mushroom out and storing it in a safe place. Nia never asks to Pryde why he is collecting poisonous mushrooms but she doesn't really care as she also often collects books without any real reasons. Perhaps, he is an eccentric man who grows poisonous mushrooms - She has no right to judge.
